About

Rocky View County is updating its Cemetery Master Plan, a long-range planning document that guides how cemetery services and spaces are developed and maintained. As part of this update, the County is assessing the available space at the Garden of Peace Cemetery and is designing an expansion concept using neighbouring County-owned land. This effort aims to ensure that cemetery services continue to meet the needs of residents for years to come.

Rocky View County is seeking community input to better understand how residents plan to use cemetery services, and community preferences for offerings and activities within cemetery spaces. Feedback from this survey and the upcoming open house event will help shape the concept for the Garden of Peace expansion and the Cemetery Master Plan.

How to Get Involved

We are conducting two rounds of public engagement to gather input from residents and Community Partners. Opportunities to participate include:

  • Online Survey: Available here on the project page
  • Community Partner Survey: Sent directly to identified groups and partners
  • Public Open House (Fall 2025): Meet with project team members and share your thoughts in person

Your feedback will help ensure the Cemetery Master Plan reflects the diverse needs and values of Rocky View County residents now and into the future. Please have your say in the survey below.
